Palm Time (Palm Vein based Biometric Access Control system)

THE KEY IS IN YOUR HAND :

Palm Time puts access in the palm of the user’s hand and no one else’s. AVANCAR worked to incorporate this sensing technology into readers that can be deployed in physical access security applications. Palm Time captures an individual's palm image with near-infrared rays. The deoxidised haemoglobin in the palm vein absorbs these rays, thereby reducing the reflection rate and causing the veins to appear as a black pattern. This vein pattern is then verified against the pre-registered pattern to authenticate the individual. As the veins are internal in the body and have a wealth of differentiating features, assuming false identity through forgery is extremely difficult, thus enabling an extremely high level of security.

CUTTING EDGE OF BIOMETRICS :

Biometrics is viewed to be at the cutting edge of technology. From the very first commercial application of a finger print reader in 1984, palm vein recognition systems have now made their way into practical installations. In many ways, it has taken the increased threat from global terrorism and organised crime to create an acceptance of biometric security. Several of Japan's major banks have been using palm vein recognition for many years now and are confirming extraordinarily high standards of accuracy, with false rejection rates of 0.01% and false acceptance rates of less than 0.00008%. Palmtime can provide security managers the most appropriate system for their particular needs - balancing the key variables of accuracy, quality, reliability, speed of performance and cost.

B

Palm Vein based Enrolment system operated by a Desktop or Laptop computer

a)       The software will enrol/register the details of the employee/visitor etc

b)       The software is capable of entering details such as name, DOB, designation, employee ID, division, emergency contact no, blood group etc of all individuals.

C

Access Management Software

a)       This software will record all the personnel passing though the access control system.

b)       It should also record time of registration/detection (when passing through entry/exit)

c)       Location

d)       The software will be capable of providing selective or full access to personnel to visit only restricted or specified areas or for all areas.

e)       The authorisation to individual personnel will be changeable by the security/admin officer.

f)        This access management software should be capable of following:

1)       Logging/registering of an employee/visitor entering/leaving the premises or a specified area

2)       Alert security in the evening of any employer/visitor trespass into unauthorized area/building

3)       Provide statistics/details of presence of employees in various areas during a day or a specified period including time of entry into such area, time of exit and duration

D

Time & Attendance Software (Option)

a)       General: The T & A facilitate authentication of all employees, record their movements and allow for automation of the employees records. The software should support complete employee database with specific information about each employee’s ID/designation/division etc

b)       Customization: Alternatively, if we provide the database that already exists with us, then the same will be incorporated into the software as customization.

c)       Leave/Holiday: The employee should be able to apply for various leave through the net using this software. The software should verify availability of leave and provide warning to the employee on unavailability of the same. If leave available, then the software should capture the details and store in database.

d)       Temporary Duty Database: The software is capable of creating a database and must have the capability to store temporary duty such as contract labours, project people, daily wage etc.

e)       Employee Attendance: The software is capable of maintaining the attendance of an employee within the premises and provide the following:

1)       Log employee’s attendance in terms of in time/out time etc

2)       Log employee’s absence/going out during office hours

3)       Correlate absence of an employee with his leave status

4)       Provide statistical responses, such as availability during specified period (week, month, quarter, year or between two dates)

5)       Provide statistics such as total number of hours or presence/absence during a given period etc

f)        Visitor Management System: The software is capable of authentication of all visitors and record their movement, restrict access permission to only specific location or locations and for specific duration.

g)       Recording and Backup: The software will automatically backup all the captured data on to a backup file on daily, weekly or monthly basis.
